Collection: Postcard from the Cave

This series emerged through a recurring interest in perception, intuition and the relationship between what is visible and what remains beyond immediate understanding.

The paintings develop through an intuitive process in which forms, colors and spatial relationships emerge gradually through response rather than planning. Silence plays an important role within this practice - not only as the absence of noise, but as a condition for listening. Meaning often reveals itself slowly, sometimes long after the work is finished.

The title, Postcard from the Cave, appeared before its significance was clear to me. Over time it has come to suggest questions about perception, reality and the limits of what we believe ourselves to know. The cave may be understood as a place of distance, uncertainty or forgetting, yet it is also a place from which glimpses of something beyond may still be received.

Rather than illustrating answers, the works remain with questions of connection, awareness and meaning. Each painting can be understood as a small message from an interior landscape - a reminder that there may be more to perceive than what first appears before us.
